The Hosts of Psychology Talk

Dr. Scott Hoye, Psy.D.

Dr. Hoye is a clinical psychologist in Chicago, Illinois.   His clinical experience includes hospital psychiatric wards, private and group practice, children's psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, and residential alcohol and drug treatment centers.  


Dr. Hoye was initially trained in clinical hypnosis before entering graduate school for psychology.  Dr. Hoye also has extensive experience with rehabilitation psychology and biofeedback and mind-body techniques for pain management.  


Dr, Hoye has taught in graduate schools, and he has served in leadership roles in the Chicago Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and is the president elect (2021-2022) of the American Psychological Association's Division 30.  He has presented at the American Psychological Association, the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and the Chicago Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Oregon Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and has presented as a keynote speaker at conferences.  Dr. Hoye works with adults with anxiety disorders, life adjustment issues, trauma and dissociative disorders,  and pain management

Kyle Miller is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with individuals and couples.  He co-hosted the Psychology Talk Podcast from 2019 until 2022.  


Kyle specializes in men's issues, using psychoeducation and Relational Life Therapy to help clients understand men in regards to relationships and overall wellness.  He also specializes in working with adults to support teens and young adults inside and outside of the school setting.  He is the owner and clinical director of Nexus Counseling Services, LLC in Homewod Illinois
